JOB DESCRIPTION

 Review/Analyze dimensional, material, and performance resultsDevelop and control APQP and/or Customer Specific Documents/Update (Linked documents)- (Team development)-new jobs and Engineering changes (assuring best practice from lessons learned in LCAR’s). Standardize the process with all customer plants:
  • Control Plan/PQCT (Pre-production and Production)
  • FMEA (Coordinate team)
  • Process Flow
  • Inspection instructions
  • Assembly of PPAP package
    • Identify Special Characteristics
    • Work jointly with the plants and program managers to assure that regular Gate Reviews are conducted, documented and effective in driving launch excellence and customer satisfaction
    • Participate in the Project Kick-off Meeting
    • Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements and supporting documents
    • Completion of Change Control process
    • Coordinate Supplier PPAP completion with Supplier Quality Engineer
    • Submit PPAP to the customer specific requirements after approval of the plants
    • Support Die Run off to ensure part meets quality requirements when possible
    • Provide Quality Paperwork for Production Prior to 1st Run
    • Creates matrix for the customer (i.e. Ford VPP Timing Requirements and GM SQMS MRD Requirements)
    • Support project team development for internal requirements
    • Communicate with the customer and the Program Management Team
    • Verify layout data
    • Coordinate gage R & R requirements are complete (customer specific requirements)
    • Analyze SPC data
    • Support the plants in RPN (Risk Priority Number) reductions
    • Knowledge of core tools (AIAG Manuals)
    • Maintain documents in L & W secure shared directory
    • Review finished process with the plant for approval
    • Report the APQP status of new programs for all relevant customer portals and sites
    • Attend project meetings and APQP driven events
    • Support die and welder run-offs at vendors and at designated manufacturing plant as feasible
    • Quality Planning sign-off and management support
    • IMDS Reporting (Restricted Materials)

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • AIAG training in—PPAP, MSA, APQP, FMEA, and SPC Facilitation skills training
    • Ability to work with the following software packages or programs:
      • Microsoft Office at an intermediate level
      • Effective email and electronic communication skills are required
    • Ability to work with the following data base programs and/or hardware:
      • QMS database at an intermediate level
      • QAD database at an intermediate level
